Weather and Climate in Lake Manyara National Park

The park enjoys a warm, tropical climate with two main seasons:

Best time for wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. Daytime temperatures range from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F).

  • The park becomes lush and green, with exceptional birdwatching. The lake fills up, attracting more flamingos and offering a more dramatic landscape.
    • Short Rains – November to December: brief, light rains.
    • Long Rains – March to May: heavier showers, especially in April.
